Wilson Lost a Tooth

Wilson had a loose front tooth forever. It finally popped out the other night so we made a little video.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Several years ago Mom and Dad got us this little Jingle Bells-playing thing for Christmas. Each year we pull it out and put batteries in it, and the kids play it 10,000 times in a row. This year was no different. After a full day of Jingle Bells, the kids finally went to bed, and Maggie took it with her and slept with it all night.

BTW, I got tired of waiting forever for videos to upload on Blogger, so I'm trying out YouTube. I'm not sure I like the quality of this video, but at least it uploaded successfully.

Platte River State Park

Another trip from this summer - we went to Platte River State Park a couple times in August. We walked some trails, did crafts, rode a paddle boat, and climbed a lookout tower. Here's the album:

Two Rivers State Recreation Area

On August 11 we went to Two Rivers State Recreation Area, just west of Omaha. We took a dip in the Platte River. It was really shallow and we were able to walk out to the middle. But mostly the kids liked to play in the mud along the river bank. Here's the album:

Our First Digital Video

We traded in our old Hi-8 camcorder for a little Flip Mino HD video recorder. Here's the first video we took. More to come.

Nebraska State Museum

After we left Schramm State Park, we drove down to Lincoln to the Nebraska State Museum. Maggie calls it the "dinosaur museum". The kids love looking at all the mastodons, mammoths, dinosaurs, and other animals. There's also a big "hands on" play room where the kids spent over an hour. We have a membership and visit the museum several times per year.
